1775 Major John Pitcairn commanding an advance guard of three-hundred fifty British Regulars orders about 70 local militiaman under the command of Captain John Parker lined up on the Lexington town green to lay down their weapons and disperse. They disperse carrying their weapons and it is said the town drunk may have fired a gun which caused the British to fire on us and we fired back Pitcairn quickly demands to know who had disobeyed his previous order not to fire without orders. Troops continue on to Concord where they are attacked at North Bridge. They regroup but are continuity harassed throughout the day and the only thing that prevents a total rout is artillery from Boston sent by Lord Percy. 1995 Alfred P. Murrugh Federal Building in Oklahoma City destroyed by truck bomb initially thought the work of Arab extremists it is soon realized that two white men who were in the Army did it.
