8 Jan War and Peace

1815 American forces under Andrew Jackson defeat British under Sir Edward Packingham killing 1200 including Packingham. only 13 Americans died in the "Needless Battle" so called because King and Parliament had approved a peace treaty which was still in transit over the Atlantic so no one in North America knew. 1915 Germans lose hill 132 north of Soissons ,and Perthes (Champagne) but retake Burnhaupt Le Haut.
