1914 Belgians lose the area in front of the Yser  establish new line in front of  Dixmude. Germans cross Bzura in Present-Day Poland. Russians lift siege of Krakow. These are costly blows to the allies the failure to gain an occupied city and the loss of territory in Flanders.
