2 April War Delaration Sought Over Indicriminate Sinkngs and German Offer to Mexico

1917 President Woodrow Wilson addresses a joint session of Congress asking for a declaration of war against Imperial Germany over its sink on sight tactics against all ships in the Atlantic and its promise to Mexico to  help it get back the southwest if it joined the Central Powers. Mexico "eventually went on the side of the allies against Germany. He declared the German practices " barbaric and unmanly" and said that hospital ships and other relief ships were targeted.
